40 years after the first Brian James Trailer was created in a rural Warwickshire village our focus remains on how customers use a trailer. Only by making attractive products to draw customers from far and wide was the brand able to grow beyond its early stages and evolve to its now enviable market leading position. Representing the ultimate evolution in trailer design, the A2 and A4 Transporter models offer a strong, durable galvanised chassis, low bed height and a range-topping 1,500kg (A2) or 3,000kg (A4) gross capacity.
Ideally built for professional transport, vehicle recovery and motorsport, the trailers come with load bed lengths which range from 2.70m to 4.00m (A2) or 5.00m (A4), as well as internally-stored 'Easy Glide' ramps and a flush-fitting centre deck.

Light, low and capable, as well as being excellent value for money, the Car Hauler has a 2.0m wide bed and comes in a choice of 4.0m or 4.9m lengths and 12" or 13" wheels to suit different requirements. Now you are able to add a hydraulic tilt-bed facility to any model at any time in the future, innovative assistor ramps for ultra-low clearance loading and LED lighting as standard. As standard on all models there's also the extremely easy ramp storage and location system, number-plate mounting brackets and low door clearance.
Available in 3 different widths and 3 different lengths, and capable of a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,689kg load capacity, the CarGo All Plant models are built for tough work, transporting civil engineering, building and plant machinery.
The versatility of the CarGO All Plant Tilt-bed makes it ideal for transporting a variety of machines for a host of applications. Robust and durable this model is available in 4 different widths and lengths, with a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and a load capacity of up to 2,710kg.
CarGO Connect is the most adaptable commercial goods and vehicle transport trailer. To provide complete flexibility a whole host of new and unique solutions allow re-configuration on demand. Every available option can be added or removed at anytime, from brand new, or whenever required in the future. As well as a uniquely configurable concept, CarGO Connect sets new standards in trailer engineering quality and value for money. Brian James Trailers’ CarGO Digger Plant2 range provides an innovative transport solution for many tracked excavators and plant machines such as chippers and shredders, and is ideal for managing medium and small size fleets interested in efficiency and safety.
With a low and flexible design for optimal distribution of weight and stable towing performance, the CarGO Digger Plant2 range delivers a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,818kg load capacity, as well as being available in 2 widths and 2 different lengths.
With a reinforced deck with beavertail, raised sides and punched steel ramps as standard, the CarGO Eco Plant2 makes loading and towing for machinery from mini-diggers to dumpers as easy as possible.
Available with 2 widths and 2 different lengths, CarGO Eco Plant2 comes with a maximum gross capacity of 2,600kg and up to 2,150kg load capacity.
Strong but light, CarGo Shifter is highly capable and durable. Its versatility and multiple configurations make it idea for daily use – available in 2 widths and 4 different lengths, CarGO Shifter delivers a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,800kg load capacity.
Building on the success of Brian James Trailers' first generation of Tipper trailers, Tipper2 had to combine robustness, tipping ability and height for site access, yet deliver a low centre of gravity for the best towing and loading performance. This is achieved through the combination of 3 different widths and 4 different lengths, with a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,500kg load capacity.
Robust enough to handle vehicles as heavy as a Range Rover, Hi-Max is also capable of loading low sports cars. The elegance of the design is delivered through the main chassis sections, which provides a tough backbone thanks to an intricate, stressed fabrication of high-strength steels and pressings, with a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,780kg load capacity.
Tailor-made for smaller race or classic period rally cars, the low-profile fully-enclosed Race Shuttle RS2 transporter is light and efficiently aerodynamic.
With innovative design and impressive build quality to handle a maximum gross capacity of 2,600kg and up to 1,809kg load capacity, all Race Shuttles feature the option of a fixed or hydraulic tilt-bed together with 2.00m long individual loading ramps which store neatly internally within the deck tray.
The RS3 was conceived as a fully-enclosed transporter capable of handling mid-sized vehicles without the need for a large and therefore heavy platform, combining both an open trailer for loading which could then become an enclosed and aerodynamic transport solution. The result was this single piece, large format clam-shell operation with a maximum gross capacity of 3,000kg and up to 2,049kg load capacity,which make the RS3 suitable across rallying and club racing, right through to formula series racing.
Perhaps the best standard car transporter available in Europe today, the Race Sport's chassis shares very similar characteristics to the A4 Transporter, from the low-weight, high-strength steel chassis with a 2.0m load area width and low mudguard clearance heights as well as the fully punched deck providing a superior vehicle restraint option in the form of adjustable wheel chocks and circumference wheel strapping.
Brian James Trailers have engineered a fully CNC-machined GRP composite panel and high-specification GRP body mouldings, including features unavailable at this price level elsewhere, such as a full length daylight roof, from clear gel GRP. The Race Sport is available in 2 widths and 3 different lengths with a maximum gross capacity of 3,000kg and up to 1,860kg load capacity.
The latest evolution of the Race Transporter 4 offers quality standards with advanced features previously unavailable at this level, providing unmatched value and specifications with the same high-quality chassis and body as other Race Transporters as standard. Available in 2 lengths with a maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,260kg load capacity. Bespoke versions are also available.
All models feature a full-width, full-height rear door ramp with gas spring assistance while competition cars with low ground clearance can be loaded easily thanks to a combination of ramp doors combined with hydraulic tilt-bed.
The Race Transporter 5 offers a dependable ride, a high level of standard equipment and plenty of useful features including revised styling inside and out, a full-length black vinyl graphic and triple-grip punched aluminium decking, deck storage solutions and lids. Impressive external styling is also achieved through modern alloy wheel options in silver or diamond-cut black anthracite finishes, all part of the high-grade materials which ensure strength and long term durability.
Race Transporter 6 has been designed around both transport operations and race weekends, combining strength, weight-saving materials and a proven chassis and advanced suspension.
The trailer also includes many specific features intended to provide a productive working environment for transport professionals. From multiple tyre and equipment storage facilities for the racers to enhanced options offering almost tailored solutions. Effortless loading is achieved through standard features including electric tilt-bed operation, interior lighting, remote controlled electric winch, asymmetric side doors and hatches.
With a maximum gross capacity of 2,600kg and up to 1,810kg load capacity, Sprint Shuttle’s unique rigid one-piece mould GRP body shell range offers an entry-level point, extending through to a highly-capable hydraulic tilt-bed facility. The Sprint Shuttle is designed for smaller and lighter cars and can be towed by many family vehicles thanks to its compact size and low weight. There is still room for additional storage facilities such as racks for spare wheels or boxes for fuel cans. The latest alloy wheel designs are also a popular option.
The new T – Transporter range is ideal for professional vehicle transportation, but also allows operators to make use of the most up-to-date transportation equipment and practices making it useful for commercial and private transport applications alike.
T – Transporter can be configured with the ultimate in low loading equipment, combining the benefits of a hydraulic tilt-bed with long, high grip loading ramps to provide loading angles as low as 5 degrees. Available in 2 widths and 2 different lengths, with maximum gross capacity of 3,500kg and up to 2,670kg load capacity.
